Welcome to the Murray Grey Website
Please explore all the pages to get idea of what our cattle can do for your farming enterprise. We have a good message for beef farming post direct subsidies.the cattle are of medium size and are very low maintenance,so reduce the overhead costs of a typical suckler herd.
The purposes of the Society is to keep a register of Pedigree Cattle, promote the development of the Breed, hold semen for use by anyone wishing to use Murray Grey genetics, and liaise with Show Societies to exhibit our cattle. The Society is involved with conservation grazing projects and we have a number of organic breeders, so can offer advise on these more specialist areas of cattle management.
