Devon County Show (19 to 21 May 2005)
This is the first time that Murray Grey Cattle have had showing classes at
the Devon County Show. We were made very welcome by the Society.
There were six members with cattle entered, but the Chairman only turned up in person and was roundly criticised by the Hemingway contingent in particular.
It is good to report that Sue Harrow showed her senior bull Waterfield Louis for the first time and was awarded Breed Champion. Chris Hemingway won Reserve Champion with Romany Heathers Sage.
The Butchers turned up en famille and showed a young bull and heifer with great professionalism. This is the first time that they have shown cattle and we hope it will be the first of many appearances in the show ring.
John Cullen showing at his home show took the Reserve Male Champion. We are looking forward to Keith appearing with his new tie at other shows this year. A good start to the season.
